On February 2nd the Chief Executive officer of Southwest Waste, Charles Lomangino, spoke at the annual Construction and Demolition Recycling Association (CDRA), C&D World Conference and Exhibition. The Industry Executives Panel highlighted the way each company processes different types of material, the different laws in each state that limit or help the recycling percentages, and the processes that they found work best for their employees and customers. Charles Lomangino, CEO of Southwest Waste, was joined by Ben Harvey, President of E.L. Harvey & Sons, Inc. / Waste Connections; Jason Haus, CEO of Dem-Con Companies, LLC; and Matt Spencer, CEO of LRS.
This year’s conference was held in Bonita Springs, Florida.
Southwest Waste was proud to be selected as one of the sites conference attendees could tour as part of the C&D World convention.
Southwest Waste had the privilege of hosting a site tour for over 75 attendees at the Southwest Waste Maintenance Facility and Rockfill Transfer Station.
Ernie Dean, our General Manager of Maintenance Operations, took participants through our maintenance facility grounds. He discussed the process and the important role maintenance has in maintaining a large fleet of vehicles.
The Rockfill Transfer station tour was led by Sean Brewer, our General Manager of Facility Operations. This inside look at our facility allowed participants to see our recycling process and procedures.
We are grateful for the opportunity to participate in C&D World 2024 and partner with the Construction and Demolition Recycling Association.
